Building a SharePoint Site using Design Ideas

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to use Design Ideas inSharePoint.

  1. Start by editing a section on your SharePoint page. In the example above, I started with my banner section where I have the text, ‘Social Media Strategy’.
  2. Click on the section and select the Design Ideas icon from the toolbar on the right (as shown in the example above with a red circle and arrow).
  3. When the Design Ideas panel on the right opens, you’ll find various suggestions for layouts, backgrounds, text formatting, and image web parts based on the content of your section.
    (Tip: If you already have content in the section, Design Ideas takes the information and suggests relevant imagery for your section! As seen in the example, it suggested images related to Social Media Strategy.)
  4. Browse through the suggestions and click on the ones you would like to apply to your section. You can explore different layouts to see how they enhance your content.
  5. Once you’ve applied a suggestion, you can further customize it manually to suit your needs.
  6. After finalizing your design, save your changes to see the updated section on your SharePoint page.
